Andoran (pronounced ann-DOHR-ann) is a nation of the people, governed by the principals of Common Rule which grants every man a voice. Andoran holds the reins of its own destiny in the strong hands of its people; it is the birthplace of freedom.

Andoran is located on the northern coast of the Inner Sea. The nation is separated from its western neighbor, the empire of Cheliax, by the Aspodell Mountains. The Five Kings Mountains perform a similar function in the north, serving as a barrier between Andoran and the nations of Druma, Isger, and Kyonin. To the east lie the nations of Galt and Taldor; much of Andoran’s eastern border lies within the Verduran Forest, and follows the flow of the Sellen River.

Formed in 4600 AR by permission of King Cullaim II, the Eagle Knights of Andoran are an organization sworn to protect their homeland, and to destroy slavery and those who profit from it. Often working as moles inside slaving organizations, the Eagle Knights, while well intentioned, are as insidious as many of the more evil organizations in Golarion.

In addition to their more clandestine operations, the Eagle Knights also maintain a visible presence in many Andoran communities, such as Augustana.

The most well known of the three Eagle Knight branches, the Steel Falcons are renown for their bold and ambitious actions outside of Andoran, famous for attacking slave galleons and liberating slaves throughout the Inner Sea. Responsible for the advancement of the country’s ideals (through both battle and diplomacy), this order is seen by many is the spiritual vanguard of the renown Eagle Knights. They spread their ideology by any means necessary, be it coercing a foreign dignitary into giving up critical information, staging bold raids on slave ships, or subversively orchestrating rebellion in hated Cheliax.

The Gray Corsairs are the navy’s arm of the organization. Among the most skilled sailors of the Inner Sea, they fly no flag while at sea, hiding their ships along the shoreline, and making raids against slavers. When attacking a flotilla, they rescue all of the slaves that they can, and then either teach the freed slaves how to sail the emancipated vessels, or sink them to the bottom. Rumor has it that the ships of the Gray Corsairs are the fastest on the sea, a story probably made true by the wizards and priests of the sky that propel the ships forward with magic arcane and divine.
